This Refund Policy acts as a legally binding document containing all terms and conditions of project cancellations and refunds provided by Pro Author Publishing. By using our services, you automatically confirm your acknowledgment and acceptance of all policies provided below, which form a legally binding contract between you and our agency.
Refund eligibility is not assured and completely depends on the current stage of your project's development at the moment of your request. Once our professionals begin working on your book, including any labor, research or creation of something unique for your book, the chances for a refund are greatly reduced.
If you decide to make an official request for cancellation before team members are assigned to your task and before the start of any designing, editing, formatting, or project-related activity takes place, then we will issue you a full 100% refund of your initial deposit. Our main objective here is to ensure that you feel comfortable before anything starts.
Once our internal editors, designers, and project managers begin working on your manuscript, book cover, or layout, we cannot offer you a full refund as a result of billable hours spent. An approved request for refund once the process of production begins will always be partial and deducted solely on the basis of work done by our team.
As book editing and proofreading is quite customized, subjective, and laborious work, we do not give refunds on these particular services once the edited documents, manuscript annotations, or final files have been sent over to you. We provide you with samples at an early stage to ensure that our editorial style matches your demands.
Regarding our cover design service, in case you do not like the creative draft designs and decide to cancel the order without asking for any revision in the design, then there could be up to 50% of refund possible in such a case as it is the cost of the initial concept design only.
After we’ve started the formatting process of your book's interior design and managed to provide you with the first PDF proof, the fee for the setup and formatting work will be deemed as being completely earned and non-refundable. This is because of the technical skills that are needed for the formatting and designing of complex manuscripts.
Any payment made solely for the purpose of registering an ISBN, filing copyrights, and setting up distribution through third party services such as, but not limited to Amazon KDP and IngramSpark will be non-refundable upon purchase/filed by our administration team.
You should take note that we will not provide a refund for any service which is delivered instantly or any service which is purely promotional. This may involve, but not limited to, marketing campaign, press release distribution, social media account creation, promotional graphics and completed consultation session with an expert.
In order to officially file for a refund request, you need to send us a written notice through email to our designated billing account. You should include the information regarding the order placed by you along with the reasons behind the complaint.
Each refund application is carefully examined on an individual basis by our finance department to guarantee fairness. We pledge to let you know about the approval or denial of your refund application within 7 to 10 working days after we receive your official e-mail.
In case your refund request gets officially approved by our finance department, the refund process will be undertaken and the money refunded to your original payment mode (credit card, wire transfer or online) in 10 to 14 working days from the date of approval.

In such a way, the project will be cancelled, and no refunds for the rest of the amount will be provided.
In case you choose to change the scope, genre or length of your project during the process of its implementation, all paid amounts are seen as assigned to the project requirements initially set forth. They cannot be moved, credited or returned in order to cover a new scope of the project.

Pro Author Publishing is not responsible for internal policy, algorithm, and approval processes of third-party distribution platforms, such as Amazon or Barnes & Noble. In that regard, we shall not be held accountable for listing declination, account suspension, or any delay caused by these third parties, and there will be no refund issued based on the decision made by these external parties.
We reserve the right to change, alter, or update this Refund Policy at any point in time in connection with the modifications of our business procedures and other legal regulations. Such changes will be communicated immediately through posting on this webpage, and the use of our services after the posting will constitute your agreement to the new policy terms.
