  • “Services” include, but are not limited to, ghostwriting, editing, publishing, marketing, audiobook production, and author branding.

2. Scope of Services

Pro Author Publishing provides a comprehensive suite of book development services, including:

  • Ghostwriting & Content Creation: Developing manuscripts from ideas, outlines, or interviews.

  • Editorial Services: Developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading.

  • Design Services: Professional book cover design and interior formatting.

  • Publishing & Distribution: Preparing and submitting manuscripts for global platforms.

  • Marketing & Promotion: Digital campaigns, press releases, and visibility strategies.

  • Specialized Writing: Biographies, memoirs, and eBook formatting.

  • Multimedia Production: Audiobook narration, book trailers, and author website development.

  • Illustrations: Custom artwork for children’s books and graphic novels.

Specific project scopes, timelines, and deliverables will be defined in individual Service Agreements between the Company and the Client.

3. User Obligations

Clients utilizing Pro Author Publishing services agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information necessary for project completion.

  • Ensure all submitted materials (drafts, research, images) are original and do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties.

  • Adhere to the agreed-upon payment schedules.

  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with our team members.

4. Policy on Printed Author Copies

  • Printed author copies are provided exclusively to Clients who have purchased a package that explicitly includes them.

  • Page Limit: Complimentary copies included in initial packages cover manuscripts up to 250 pages. If the final formatted page count exceeds 250, the Client will be responsible for the additional printing costs.

  • Shipping: Printed copies are dispatched only after the final manuscript has been approved, finalized, and successfully published.

5. SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Consent: Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
2. Purpose: By opting in, you may receive SMS regarding appointment reminders, project updates, billing inquiries, or occasional promotions.
3. Frequency: Message frequency varies based on project status (typically up to 10 messages per week).
4. Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.
5. Opt-Out: You may text “STOP” at any time to unsubscribe.
6. Support: Text “HELP” for assistance or contact our support team directly.

6. Payments and Refunds

  • Payment Terms: Services must be paid for in advance or according to a milestone-based schedule agreed upon in writing.

  • Refund Eligibility:

    • Before Work Begins: A full refund is available, minus any administrative or credit card processing fees.

    • After Work Commences: If a project is canceled mid-process, a partial refund may be issued based on the volume of work completed and resources allocated.

    • After Delivery: No refunds will be issued once the final deliverables (e.g., completed manuscript, final designs) have been sent to the Client.

  • Disputes: Any payment disputes must be raised within 14 days of the transaction date.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Client Ownership: Upon receipt of full and final payment, the Client retains 100% ownership and copyright of the final content created by Pro Author Publishing.

  • Company Portfolio: The Company reserves the right to showcase non-confidential snippets or book covers in our portfolio for marketing purposes, unless the Client explicitly requests an NDA-based restriction.

  • Input Materials: All original outlines, research, and drafts provided by the Client remain the Client’s sole property.

8. Confidentiality

We treat your ideas and manuscripts with the utmost security. All staff and contractors at Pro Author Publishing are bound by strict non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to ensure your intellectual property remains confidential.

9. Revisions and Changes

  • Clients are entitled to the number of revision rounds specified in their selected package or agreement.

  • Revision requests must be submitted within the timeframe specified in the project workflow.

  • Requests that significantly alter the original scope of work (e.g., a change in genre or total rewrite of a settled outline) may incur additional fees.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • No Guarantees: While we strive for excellence, Pro Author Publishing does not guarantee specific book sales, bestseller status, or third-party publishing approvals (e.g., Amazon KDP or IngramSpark internal audits).

  • Service Basis: Services are provided on an “as-is” basis. Pro Author Publishing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services or the content of the published work.

11. Termination of Services

The Company reserves the right to terminate an agreement or refuse service in the event of:

  • Non-payment or consistent payment delays.

  • Unprofessional, abusive, or threatening behavior toward staff.

  • Requests for content that is illegal, fraudulent, or violates ethical standards.

12. Governing Law
